Lemon Cloud Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 can (21 ounces) lemon pie filling
- 1 box (16 ounces) angel food cake mix
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, empty the contents of the lemon pie filling and the angel food cake mix.
- Gently fold the ingredients together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are starting to pull away from the sides of the dish. The mixture will puff up dramatically while baking.
- Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool completely. As it cools, it will deflate slightly, forming the characteristic texture of lemon bars.
- Once cooled, cut into squares or bars. Dust with powdered sugar if desired for an extra touch of sweetness.
- Serve and enjoy these delightful Lemon Cloud Bars, the easiest dessert you’ll ever make!
Tip: For a variation, you can also try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract or lemon zest to enhance the flavor further.
