Crockpot Cube

Crockpot cube steak, mashed taters, and corn. Had mine with cauliflower mash. It is so easy.
Put a family pack of cube steak in the crockpot, sprinkle pack of onion soup mix over the top, and 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup (I put 1 can on the bottom of crock and then the other over the top. Cook on low 8 hours

Crockpot Cube Steak with Creamy Mashed Potatoes and Corn

Ingredients:

  • 1 family pack of cube steak
  • 1 packet of onion soup mix
  • 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • 6 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • Optional: Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crockpot:
    • Place the cube steak in the crockpot.
    • Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the steak.
    • Pour one can of cream of mushroom soup over the bottom of the crockpot, and then pour the second can over the top of the cube steak.
  2. Cook on Low:
    • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours. This slow cooking process will make the cube steak tender and flavorful.
  3. Make Creamy Mashed Potatoes:
    • Boil the diced potatoes in a large pot of salted water until fork-tender.
    • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
    • Add butter and milk to the potatoes and mash until smooth.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Prepare Corn:
    • Cook the corn kernels according to package instructions if using fresh or frozen. If using canned corn, drain and rinse.
    • Season the corn with a pinch of salt.
  5. Serve:
    • Place a generous scoop of creamy mashed potatoes on each plate.
    • Top the mashed potatoes with a portion of the tender cube steak, spooning some of the creamy mushroom sauce over the top.
    • Serve with a side of corn.
  6. Optional:
    • Garnish the dish with chopped parsley for a burst of color and added freshness.
